The Farm House

Every attention to detail has been given in equipping these gites and all bed-linen and towels (except for outdoor use) are provided and changed weekly. Two cots and high chair are available.

The Tower House

The large garden at Le Bourg has lawns sloping down to the river, with boules court, barbecues and plenty of garden furniture, and you will see from the various testimonials, most of our guests can hardly bear to tear themselves away.

The historic town of Descartes is five minutes drive away and all the pleasures of the Loire Valley are close by - chateaux, reasonably priced food and wine, peace and tranquility, wildlife - everything for those who enjoy all that rural France has to offer. On Sunday mornings Descartes hosts a traditional French market in its main street.

The large town of Chatellerault is about twenty minutes drive.

It is here that the TGV arrives. The town boasts many fine shops, banks, a cinema, a hypermarket (Auchan) and, of course, a lot of pavement cafes and restaurants - you can even have a Chinese meal here.
